oh man. the butterflies in my chest are going wild now that i can finally make this public: my third full-length collection of poetry will be published on may 17th, 2022 by @buttonpoetry. button is my dream press, an organisation i’ve admired since i was a kid & one that inspired me to begin writing poetry. i’m still pinching myself. the book is called SO, STRANGER. it’s a series of ars poeticas about being an immigrant & being an artist, about what we inherit & what we owe, about the death of the american dream, about the grace & grief & guilt of being loved by forces larger than we’ll ever know to name, & (always, of course, for the first time, for all of time) about my father. thank you to my dearest @blythebaird for your guidance, generosity, & advocacy throughout this process. thank you to @taneshanicole313 & sam van cooke for believing in me & my work. cover, table of contents, blurbs, official synopsis, & preorder link will be released in the coming months. my heart’s all reckless & warm, all safe & glad. i cannot wait for this book to find its way into your arms. “grateful” doesn’t even cover it. #sostranger
