These are the official results from the Student Council Election for the positions of Student Body President, Student Body Vice President, Student Body Secretary, and Student Body Treasurer. The Presidential race was extremely close, with Cooper Houseman and Diego Conrado being separated by only 4.5% of the votes in the end (which is roughly 8 individual votes). The reported voting percentages at the beginning of the election voting period were much higher for Cooper than his final percentage. The vast majority of students who had voted at the beginning were seniors, meaning that Cooper likely did extremely well among the seniors (like the polls predicted), but then Diego gained a large amount of ground among the lower grades, and he possibly could have gotten the majority of the votes in at least one of the lower grades. The polls that were conducted by the Houseman 2020 Campaign ended up being accurate, with Cooper Houseman beating Diego Conrado (although it was much closer than the polls predicted it would be), with Sophia DeSanti in third place (Sophia’s final percentage in the real election was only 1% away from the percentage that she got in the final poll). The number of undecided voters ended up being much lower than the polls had shown. The Vice Presidential race was won by Dejanna Markovic against Madison Lawrence by a 13.3% margin (which is roughly 24 individual votes).
