Welcome on board Geoff! 🔴⚪️🔴 After an approach to the club via friend and junior coach Keith Bell, Geoff has set up an initial zoom meeting with Scott Powell‘s coaching team to discuss his philosophy and thoughts on coaching. DIrector of Rugby, Scott goes onto say “Using Geoff’s wealth of experience has been great, we’ve been talking through what direction the coaches want to take the club, with Geoff sharing his thoughts on how he could help us He’s shared some great ideas and videos comparing Southern Hemisphere rugby to the Northern Hemisphere, and we’ve explored how he, and the coaches he works with, approach sessions and games. The meeting was really beneficial for us, we learnt a lot from it and gained some fantastic new ideas. We’ve agreed numerous meetings throughput the season to share ideas and utilise Geoff’s extensive knowledge. It’s fantastic for SRFC that Geoff is giving up his time and has come on board, he is wanting to help the club in anyway he can” #OURTOWNOURCLUB
