Port-au-Prince, le 16 octobre 2018. Clarification sur la participation d'Haïti à Miss International 2018. Miss Haïti Organisation tient à informer la presse et le public qu'Haïti sera repésentée à la 58ème édition de Miss International par Melle Cassandra Chéry, du 21 octobre au 9 novembre au Japon. En effet, à cause du nouveau reglement de Miss International, nous avons été contraint de remplacer Melle Merlie Fleurizard élue le 5 juillet lors de la cérémonie Finale du concours Miss Haïti 2018 à l’hôtel Marriott par Melle Chery. Miss International Organisation exige que: La candidate doit etre une elue nationale avec l age maximal de 26 ans ou faire partie des 3 premieres gagnantes du concours national. C est a dire soit la miss, ou l'une des deux dauphines. A noter que Melle Fleurizard ayant atteint cet age et Cristina Cadet la 1ere dauphine de Miss Haiti également,nous avons du faire appel a Cassandra Chery selon les suggestions de Miss International. De ce fait, Merlie Fleurizard representera Haiti au concours Miss Panamerican International du 14 octobre au 20 octobre 2018. Cristina Cadet representera Haiti à Reina Hispanoamericana en Bolivie. #MissHaiti #MissInternational #MissPanamerican Hereby we would like to clarify the selection process of the new Haitian representative to the Miss International beauty pageant 2018. Starting this year the Miss International organization decided to vary the age range of the contestants and restrict the participation until the age of 26. Not allowing any exception, due to this reason several contestants already chosen had to be replaced mentioning Brazil, Dominican Republic and also Haiti. According to the contract the Miss International contestant has to be a national winner, the first runner up of the Miss Haiti 2018 beauty pageant was also not elegible due to her age. Due to this reason none of the top 3 were able to replace Merlie Fleurizard position and a former Miss Haiti had to be appointed per request of the Miss International Organization. #MissHaiti #
