I post these two unspectacular selfies in my celebration of #NationalComingOutDay as they are, in fact, of the moment in my life when I started being more honest, freer, and happier. These were taken at the halfway point of shooting #TheWayWayBack. What was one of the most stressful and exhilarating moments of my life, thus far, also became the most freeing and poignant. This was when I would allow my heart to open itself to what it knew all along. I make it a point not to judge my timeline or regret not coming out earlier. I just love how I got to these selfies, and I love even more where I’ve been since them. For the past six years, I’ve been true, open and vulnerable.
