We are endorsing Tom Winter for Congress because he is a Green New Deal champion. He is against the Keystone Pipeline and firmly supports indigenous peoples rights. In addition, he has proposed some strong COVID-19 legislation such as halting all mortgage and rent payments during this crisis. Tom is a strong progressive, one of his main policies is Healthcare For All, because healthcare is a right and not a privilege. This is why we endorse Tom Winter for Congress. Why Tom and not his opponent? His opponent has not even signed the no fossil fuel money pledge, his opponent has no real policy other than the lukewarm idea of lowering the medicare age to 55 years old. And in addition to all that, his opponent always viewed us as an enemy, they tried to push us out of OUR party, while Tom affirmed to us that he will work with us because youth voices have to be heard and will always be part of the political landscape.
