Nicole and I had an amazing year, and we are both so thankful for this second chance at skating. That being said, we would like to announce our retirement from competitive skating. Skating has given me so much. Through dedication and hard work I have been able to achieve so much in this beautiful sport. I've made lifelong friends, travelled the world, gained invaluable life experiences, priceless memories, and a posterior that can’t find pants that fit; all while competing for this great nation of Canada. Thank you to all my coaches, mentors, training mates, family, fans, and mental demons. Thank you for supporting me, pushing me, uplifting me, challenging me, and enjoying my skating; none of this would be possible without you. Nicole, my partner. There are not enough adjectives to describe you, but all of them would be synonymous with terrible. KIDDING! I would like to thank you for giving me a second chance at this sport. In such a short time together we have accomplished so much including winning our first international. Even though this partnership may have been truncated I feel like we have grown so close. I can’t imagine my life without you in it and I know we will remain very close friends. Thank you for dealing with my odd quirks, making me a better skater, and making skating fun again. BYE!!!!!
