Tony Oursler’s first Mandarin-language piece ‘Current’ debuted in December, enveloping the Nanjing Eye Footbridge and surrounding landscape in layered video projections.
Based in New York, @TonyOursler is best known for his innovative integration of video, sculpture, and performance. His work often deals with issues of technology, artificial intelligence, and telecommunications in contemporary society. A retrospective exhibition of the artist’s work goes on view March 22 at the Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts in Taiwan.
