Today I am announcing my retirement from elite gymnastics. This has been the hardest decision I have had to make but it is what is best for me. Taking into consideration my previous back injuries, it was in my best interest to come to this decision and focus on my recovery for my back and be able to continue my gymnastics career in the least amount of pain that I can be in. This decision will allow me to pursue my ultimate goal of competing for The University of Oklahoma. I am beyond blessed to have the privilege of being selected for international assignments and represented the United States around the world. I greatly appreciate the trust and support from Tom and the National Staff in extending an invitation to November National Team Camp. I have gone through so many injuries, hard times, and good times and have learned so many life lessons from them all. I wouldn’t have been able to do that without my elite career. I want to thank all of my coaches, family, and friends who consistently believed in me to get me to where I have always wanted to be and achieve my goals. After everything I have been through I just wanted to say that I could not have done it without all of my endless support. I would not be where I am today without the experiences I have gone through. I am beyond blessed and could not be more grateful for my elite career and I am looking forward to continuing my gymnastics career as a level 10 and could not be more excited for this new journey❤️ #trusttheprocess
