Seventeen more hostages including an American 4-year-old Avigail Edan were freed by militants Sunday in the third round of hostage releases since an uneasy Hamas-Israeli cease-fire began last week. Israel planned to release another 39 Palestinian prisoners later Sunday. Avigail was kidnapped from Kfar Aza kibbutz in the Hamas rampage into Israeli border communities Oct. 7 that left 1,200 people dead. Her parents were killed, and her two older brothers hid in a closet and survived. President Joe Biden said the little girl is currently in Israel and that "she's been through a terrible trauma."
