Bob Knight, the legendary college basketball coach who led Indiana to three national titles, has died at 83.
Iconic as he was controversial, Knight was at the helm at three different schools over his 42-year career as a college basketball head coach.
During his tenure at Indiana, Knight won 662 games, the most in program history by some distance. He also coached at Texas Tech and Army.
Knight was renowned for his extremes – an irrepressible winning habit juxtaposed against a fiery temper – which brought him both fame and notoriety.
