The regional Mexican star swept the Billboard Latin Music Awards, held at the Watsco Center in Miami, on Thursday night, taking home a total of eight awards, becoming the top-awarded artist of the ceremony. Closing in on Peso's winning streak was Puerto Rican reggaeton juggernaut Bad Bunny, who nabbed seven awards. Rounding out the leading winners were Colombian pop star and Spirit of Hope recipient Karol G with five awards and regional Mexican group Eslabon Armado with four awards.
