Fran Anderson, 81, of Southern California has conquered this rim-to-rim hike of the Grand Canyon only five months after pneumonia nearly killed her. She had hoped to do it in 14 hours, but it was much harder than she anticipated, and at times she could barely put one foot in front of the other.
