It started as a healthy habit during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. Recently, 79-year-old Mae Dean Erb of Blackgum, Oklahoma, marked the three-year anniversary of daily running or walking at least 5K. That is 3.1 miles.
“I’m sure I act 80 in some ways,” she says. “But I don’t feel 80. I wish I could get people to realize even a minimal amount of working out … it just has a wonderful effect.”
