After former President Donald Trump was indicted by a New York grand jury Thursday, his supporters and opponents gathered near his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida and in front of the Manhattan District Attorney's office in New York with signs and flags. The indictment is sealed but the grand jury has been hearing evidence related to money paid to adult film actress Stormy Daniels during Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign. The indictment is unprecedented and represents the first criminal charges against a former U.S. president. “President Trump will not take a plea deal in this case. It’s not going to happen.
