Harvey's muzzle is askew, a deformity likely caused by a bite to his mouth when he was a puppy. It often makes one of his ears droop. Harvey the husky sat in a San Diego shelter for months with no one showing any interest in adopting him. Harvey, who had been found running loose in a rural desert area, was "getting overlooked a lot." "I heard people in the kennels walking by and saying that he was ugly," Joy Ollinger, a shelter worker, said. "He never even had a single person take him out for a possible adoption."
