A canyon known for its rich poppy fields will be closed to the public to prevent a repeat of the chaotic scenario that played out during the last “super bloom” in 2019.
Earlier this week, Lake Elsinore Mayor Natasha Johnson was joined by Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco and others to announce that Lake Elsinore's Walker Canyon trailhead and wildflower fields along it will be closed to all visitors this spring.
The city will implement a zero tolerance, “keep out” policy.
Although you won't be able to see the blooms in person this year, swipe 👉 to see the beautiful views from 2019.
