TOI 700 e, is slightly smaller than Earth and orbits a small, red dwarf star called TOI 700 about 100 light-years away. It's one of four planets to orbit the star, alongside TOI 700 b, c and d. TOI 700 d was already known to be in the habitable zone, a discovery made possible by NASA's Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite, which monitors large portions of the sky for approximately 27 days at a time to track changes in stellar brightness caused by planets. However, it took over a year for scientists to discover TOI 700 e, and learn it was located within the star's habitable zone. Visit the link in bio for more information on the planet. #nasa #space
