Día de Los Muertos gives families time to honor and remember loved ones that are no longer in the "land of the living."
Families of the Uvalde shooting victims did just that.
On Tuesday, they carried an ofrenda from the Texas states Capitol to the Governor's Mansion during the March of the Children to honor the lives lost in Uvalde.Ofrendas typically include pictures of loved ones, some of their favorite items from when they were alive and their favorite dishes or drinks.
With one in arms, families marched to the Governor's Mansion to ask for a minimum age requirement of 21 for all assault-style rifle purchases.
