Summer is here!
At 5:14 a.m. EDT on Tuesday, the North Pole tilts closest to the sun, marking the 2022 summer solstice.
Some people call it "the longest day," but to be precise, it's the day with the most daylight.
The amount of daylight will be roughly consistent for a few more days before shrinking each day until the winter solstice in late December.
