Paris Hilton is revealing new allegations of sexual abuse as she visits Washington, D.C. this week to push for federal laws that would protect children and teens in similar situations. Hilton met with lawmakers and fellow survivors as they lobby for reform in the "troubled teen industry" — schools and organizations marketed as boarding schools that experts say lack safety and health regulation and the proper educational and mental health tools to help students and keep them safe. Hilton also wrote a column speaking out against the industry for @usatodayopinion, which was published Wednesday. “That experience, and the physical, emotional, and sexual abuse I suffered, led to years of trauma-induced insomnia and complex post-traumatic stress disorder that I and countless other survivors of institutional child abuse have struggled with for years,” she writes.
