Three Americans who fell ill and died while at a Sandals resort in the Bahamas had been treated for symptoms at a hospital the night before, according to Bahamas police officals. Vincent Paul Chiarella, 64, of Florida, and Michael Phillips, 68, and Robbie Phillips, 65, of Tennessee, were identified as the Americans who died at at Emerald Bay Sandals Resort. Chiarella's wife was hospitalized in the Bahamas and later airlifted to Florida hospital in serious condition. Royal Bahamas Police Force Commissioner Paul Rolle said all four went to a doctor after complaining of feeling ill the night before their bodies were discovered on Friday morning. Vincent Chiarella's son, Austin Chiarella, told ABC News his parents were in the Bahamas celebrating their anniversary. "I am just so heartbroken right now," he said. "My dad was everything to me." Rolle said police do not suspect foul play, but would not speculate on the cause of the deaths as the investigation continues. The U.S. State Department said it was "closely monitoring" the probe.
