Health experts say long COVID poses a particularly significant risk to frontline essential employees, such as hospital cleaning staff and meatpacking workers. They are least likely to have good health insurance, paid sick time or savings accounts to let them recuperate. "For long COVID, part of the issue is that there's just not enough research and data," said Amitava Banerjee of the Institute of Health Informatics at University College in London.
