Hello, it's ... Adele. The singer has racked up 15 Grammy wins since rising to prominence in the late 2000s and most recently made her highly-anticipated return "Easy on Me," the first single from her upcoming album "30." On Thursday night she dropped her first single in almost six years, and revealed the inspiration behind her lyrics – divorce and her pursuit of happiness. In various interviews, Adele dug into how her divorce from Simon Konecki and her relationship to their son, Angelo, influenced her new album. Almost three years after her divorce, she's telling her side of the story to her son and all of us through her music. "I feel like this album is self-destruction, then self-reflection and then sort of self-redemption," she told Vogue. "But I feel ready. I really want people to hear my side of the story this time." "Go easy on me, baby," she sings. "I was still a child / Didn't get the chance to feel the world around me / Had no time to choose what I chose to do / So go easy on me." "Easy on Me" comes a day after Adele announced on social media she's "ready to finally" release "30" on Nov. 19. In the announcement, Adele said she started work on the album nearly three years ago. 📸. Simon Emmett, @apnews, @gettyimages #adele #music #easyonmeadele
