Mexico's Supreme Court ruled Tuesday that it was unconsitutional to punish abortion, annulling portions of a law that made abortion a criminal act. The law was from Coahuila, a state on the Texas border, will immediately only affect that state. Currently only four states in Mexico allow abortion in most cases, and the other 28 states penalize abortion with some exceptions. The ruling comes one week after the US's Supreme Court declined to block enforcement of a Texas law which prohibits abortions after about six weeks of pregnancy. #abortionrights
