The death toll from the collapse rose to 10 after first responders pulled an additional body from the site on Monday, said Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava. Four were pulled from the rubble Sunday.
151 people remain unaccounted for, Levine Cava said. "They're out there with every resource that they need to ensure that they can search this area."
Town officials and fire personnel reiterated during a Monday morning news conference that first responders were still in a search and rescue operation.
The decision to transition from search and rescue to recovery cannot be made until crews are confident no one could be alive in any part of the building, said Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Assistant Chief Ray Jadallah.
