The Biden administration admits it will not reach its July 4th vaccination goal.
After reaching their initial goal of 100 million shots in Biden's first 100 days in office, the administration managed to hit 200 million shots in their first 100 days.
Sixteen states and the District of Columbia have reached the goal already – but some states are at less than 50% of all adults.
Dr. Anthony Fauci stressed that the press to get more people vaccinated will continue past hitting the 70% goal.
"No one should think that when we reach 70% (of all adults) across the country that we are done," Fauci said. "We are not done until we completely crush this outbreak."
