I teamed up with @thetoteproject for a collaboration to help protect foster youth from being victims of trafficking and we are nearly half way to our goal of funding a breakout session with @safeBAE to educate foster youth about consent, bystander intervention and safe relationships! • • • The totes are sold out BUT the pouches are still available! Snag one while you can using the link in my bio! • • • I got to help create the artwork, which includes my profile and my handwritten phrase "free to blossom". That phrase really resonated with me because I think a lot of times when you’re dealing with survivors, we want nothing more than for them to blossom into who they are and not identify with what happened to them. It was so much fun getting to create this artwork with @thetoteproject to support their mission to end human trafficking in the USA and beyond! • • • According to the National Foster Youth Institute, the majority of child sex trafficking victims have histories in the child welfare system. $5 of every sale of our signature Free to Blossom tote and pouch will be donated to #SafeBAE to fund a breakout session for foster youth during their 2020 Virtual Summit. We expect the summit to reach over 1,000 children all over the country, and we’re hoping this education will play a big part in preventing children in our foster care system from being trafficked.
