THE BRIDGE. Fans of the fiction podcast will know that one of the early jokes in the show is that EVERYTHING on the Starship Q Star is supposed to be pink. The uniforms, the walls, the floor - “like travelling through space in an intergalactic flamingo” Now for audio? This works fine. But when we put an image of our characters in pink uniforms against a pink background? It didn’t look so great on screen. So we tried A LOT of combinations to try and convey the ridiculousness of what the ISA had designed for the crew. But in the end, as we don’t have time in 3 minutes to make the way the Bridge looks part of the joke - we went with something a bit more muted!
