Dear Souzles, the fact that this is my 1000th post on Instagram is totally coincidental but, in the circumstances, it feels pretty appropriate! The first picture in this very happy carousel is of me sitting on some steps, holding my first ever book, surrounded by boxes and boxes more of them. (These are the books that you pre-ordered on the @offlineruniverse site! All of which will now be signed, whether you like it or not, and sent directly to you!) The third video is of the books actually arriving, driven here from the printers by the unbelievably kind and generous spirited Darren (who definitely thinks I am more than just a bit crazy, having four hundred 600-page paperbacks delivered “curbside”). The fifth picture is of Darren and I and the book. We opened one of the boxes, pulled out the first ever copy of KID: A HISTORY OF THE FUTURE in the world and Darren took it home! The first ever Offliner! So to Darren, the Souzles and ALL the Offliners out there in the @offlineruniverse — thank you for making my dreams come true. I wrote this book for you. Lv U All Forever, SdS
