Proud moment last night, getting my BJJ black belt from Paul Rimmer. @nextgenmmalpool Struggling to find the right words - but I want to say a massive thank you to two people. To Paul, for everything he's done for me over the years, for being there through all the highs and lows. Being one of Paul's very first black belts means so much to me. And to Kevin Webb who made me welcome at his club when I moved to Solihull, for all his help, support and encouragement; for showing me ways to broaden my game, doing his best to teach a recovering MMA fighter some new tricks, and for giving me another perspective on the art. It's been an 18 year journey, and there are many, many other people who have helped along the way - as training partners, team mates and coaches. Thanks to all of you. ❤ I'm honoured, and a little bit overwhelmed - I'll do my best to live up to it. Always a work in progress.
