THAT'S A WRAP! Holy what the heck even was that crazy ass shoot. One week of one show, one week off. 5 weeks of other show, one week off. 4 weeks of the first show, done. From mosquitoes to ground hornets, from 104 degrees to 54 and rain storms, up steep mountains and down in swamps, ever changing actors and every makeup from injuries to old age to dead bodies to indigenous war paint to sunburned and scarred (all with a healthy dose of dirt and grime,) and averaging 66 hours a week with overtime every day except 2 in the last 4 weeks (including two 16 hour Fraturdays that got me home at 4 am Saturday morning.) We are sunburned, sore, scratched, exhausted and . . . SO DAMN PROUD! Two fucking astounding seasons of these shows. And this CREW - professional, fun, and the hardest working fucking die hards, who prevailed. We are weary and victorious. Nancy was by my side in my department and without her and her humor, talent, and toughness, I would not have been able to create these looks that brought these characters to life. I love you. And to all of us who persevered when we felt we couldn't do another day - we fuckin DID THAT.
