It's a big deal, for with their return they visit us with the remembrance of old traditions and valued bloodlines. We set a place for them at our table, our best dishes, we sweep the doorways and place candles in the windows facing where they are buried to guide them, we leave food outside our door for the passing souls who are also journeying this night. The veil is so thin now. Say a prayer for those who have gone before us. We walk in their footsteps and today they walk alongside us.”
