What a wonderful photo shoot with @donavanfreberg photography! “It was my distinct pleasure, thrill and honor to photograph the great Don Teschner recently. Don played with the Legendary Rod Stewart on three world tours, and is both a gold and platinum record recording artist. From the Rod Stewart Band, his gold and platinum award winning recordings and touring band, to the critically acclaimed MTV "Unplugged And Seated" release with Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones, Don is an accomplished Multi-Instrumentalist. And I mean, MULTI! The list of instruments he plays is long and varied...these are just some...Violin, Mandolin, all sorts of Electric, Acoustic and Slide Guitars, Bass, Viola, Octave Mandolin, Harmonica, Banjo, Bouzouki and 5 String Viola. Born in London England, Don grew up near the foot of the Appalachian mountains in Easton, Pennsylvania, where he made the festival circuit. After his "Schooling" in bluegrass in Pennsylvania, Don moved to Los Angeles to attend Musicians Institute and pursue his music. While studying Guitar, Don became a Recording Engineer, engineering at many of Hollywood’s most famous recording studios, as well as doing sound for Stevie Vai, Robbin Ford, Steve Morse, Joe Pass, Jeff Berlin, Tommy Tedesco just to name a few. As one of the original founding members of the resurgence of Acoustic Music in LA in the late 80's, Don landed a recording session playing with the Legendary Rod Stewart and the rest is Grammy history. We spent some time near his beautiful place in Topanga canyon, hung out, talked about all kinds of things, and just took some casual shots in the woods. I’m very happy to say that he loves the photos. His partner, my LONGTIME friend Nina, acted as stylist and second pair of eyes, and she is also one of my boudoir clients.
