My heart is bursting. I’ve never been on a project where at the end of week one I’m already grieving the end of the shoot. These folks are so soulful, so kind, so professional, and the serendipities telling us we are making something important and powerful together are so bountiful that they aren’t even surprising anymore. Every night after long days in the heat, and then the cold, all the bug bites, and inevitable bumps in the road, we aren’t exhausted - because there’s no negativity. Mistakes happen, and there’s no reprimand, no shaming, just respect that we are seasoned professionals intending to do our best but a problem has arisen, and everyone goes into solution mode. That’s why we aren’t wiped out. I am more than grateful, I’m changed by this experience. I have so many valuable lessons learned to carry forward. Wow.
