My dear friend Michael gave Alex his first surfing lesson (and he SHREDDED- stood up and rode in right away) then we found an (unfortunately) dead sea slug (as big as my forearm!) and the vacated shells of a couple of hermit crabs. Back to Santa Monica for lunch and bodyboarding, then the Pier and a wander to end the day. One quick outing tomorrow and then back home tomorrow night. We are so grateful for being able to house/chicken/cat sit for our lovely friends, for meetings and chats with some new film friends, and for reconnecting to family and old friends. WE WILL BE BACK ❤️
