With a very sad heart I write to you all today to announce my retirement from professional soccer. Since I was a little kid, it has always been my dream to become a professional soccer player & to represent my country. I’ve been lucky enough to live that reality for the past few years. But football has its ups & downs and unfortunately, I’ve had to cut my playing career short due to a serious back injury I sustained. While I tried my best to play through the pain and surgery it progressed to a point of no return. I leave the game with my head held high knowing that I’ve given myself every opportunity to play the game that I’ve devoted my life to.

There have been so many who have helped me along the way, but special thanks to: Schalke 04 for giving me the opportunity to pursue my dream as a professional soccer player and to all the physio‘s for helping me through all my injury issues and countless hours of treatment. All the USYNT coaches over the years who showed faith in me and my ability. FC Richmond, where I got my start and developed me into the player I’ve become today. My dad who took hours of his working days to work on my foot skills and installed a drive in me to succeed, my mom who gave me the confidence I needed to always get back up. My brothers, and grandparents for always supporting me - they’ve been my rock. My agents since I was 15 years old, Centre Circle. You guys have been there for me during the good and the bad times. You always had my best interests at heart, and given me sound advice. As for my next step, I’m so happy to announce that I’ve accepted a position at Centre Circle, and will be based in the USA. I hope I can use my experiences and insights to help players reach their full potential either in the MLS or abroad. Looking forward to meeting you on my travels.
