#AllergicReaction #AntiHistamine #AntiInflammatory I had to go to A&E last night at 3.30am after flushing my left eye out with water for almost 1 and a half hours did nothing, I tried wiping it with cotton wool. Sticking my face into a bowl of ice cold water, trying to bathe my eye ball. It wouldn’t stop streaming and stinging and reacting to light very poorly. I got to A&E and I was the only one there so was seen very quickly. The doctor held my eye open and had a look inside and said I’ve had an allergic reaction to something and prescribed me an anti histamine. By the time I was in a cab to my mum’s house at approaching 4.30am I could already open my eye for longer than ten seconds without extreme stinging. I’ve just taken my second anti inflammatory pill and whilst not perfect my eye isn’t reacting to light as before and I can look at my phone screen with both eyes now. I know you can become allergic to something out of nowhere but all the eye makeup and glued I use, I’ve used for at least ten years and my right eye is unaffected. I’m assuming it’s safe to think the issue wasn’t makeup or glue but something getting in my eye when I went for a walk through Kent in the morning as part of my exercise regime? Maybe some faecal matter or dirt I may have come into contact with.
