“For a long time, books about marginalized perspectives were about marginalized perspectives and not from marginalized perspectives,” says author Jenny Lacika ’06. “I want to celebrate those marginalized perspectives.” Lacika’s new children’s book “Again, Essie?” features Mexican-American characters exploring math concepts.
