“I’m committed to being that teacher who advises and encourages kids of color to pursue careers in the science, math, and engineering fields. That won’t ever change," says Michael Dixon ’88, pictured left in the 1980s outside of the MIT Student Center with Willie Baldwin '88 and Robert Boone on their way to a gospel choir tour. Dixon has served as a minister, high school teacher, school founder, and even STEM committee founder within BAMIT.
Meet dedicated MIT alumni volunteers like Dixon at the Alumni Leadership Conference, 9.16–9.17. More at the link in the bio.
