Meet alumna Sophia Hayden. She was the first woman to graduate from @mitarchitecture. As one of a handful of women in the field at the time, she faced discrimination and struggled to find work in architecture. In 1891 she entered a contest to design the Women’s Building at the World’s Columbia’s Exhibition in Chicago, designing a three story building in Italian Renaissance Style. #womenshistorymonth
