Let me Reintroduce myself ………………. my name is Laureen and I’m an artist! I love the beauty industry in all shapes and forms. I have been a practicing makeup artist for 17 years now, and my passion for making people feel beautiful will last a lifetime. My interpretation of being a makeup artist is not just about learning techniques and copying other artists when they paint faces. The way I work is focusing on the ART of it. Simply that! Yes, in the end techniques & tools matter to accomplish a look, but my vision of the end result happens once I begin the first stroke. Every face is different and I like to focus on highlighting certain features of each individual client. Art is NOT something you can teach. I truly believe you’re either born with it or you’re not. Techniques, on the other hand, can be taught. So in the end, there is more to being a make up artist then learning someone else’s tricks. We are constantly learning tricks and techniques by the day. I even learn from NEW artists! There is always room to learn. But the passion of ART has to be in your soul to truly be a makeup artist.
