What happens when you combine ambient computing with couture? How can we redefine the relationships between people, clothes and machines? @googleatap set out to explore these questions in a joint research project with @koche. Thousands of hours of engineering went into four hybrid pieces that can transform by reacting to sensors, touch or light, and which were revealed at the KOCHÉ fashion show at Paris Fashion Week. Google ATAP’s Soli radars added an interactive dimension to the show — letting the garments, the models, the show space and even the audience interact with and influence each other.
