This week we kicked off Asian Pacific American Heritage Month celebrations with a #GoogleDoodle for Japanese-American short story author Hisaye Yamamoto. Throughout her career, Yamamoto wrote many stories that aimed to bridge the divide between first and second-generation Japanese Americans by detailing their experiences in the wake of World War II.
