The “Flag” and the “Neighborhood Guilt” pieces came down. The “Flag” after the censorship of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the “Neighborhood Guilt” due to my concerns about its safety. I want to thank everybody that stands by my art and its message. And especially the Cultural Committee and the personnel of the Greek Consulate in NY that believed in my work and gave it a platform. We should never stop fighting for the human right to freedom and life. Victims of femicide and domestic violence are heroes of Greece and every nation. The “Neighborhood Guilt” work has 22 houses. Each for every victim of femicide in Greece in 2022. Every house has notes with their names, age and location and date of death. Both works are made by bed sheets donated by women that live in Greece, under the condition that they have used them to rest their bodies and dream of world where everyone can live safely and creatives can express themselves and their times without being censored.
