As I sit here and try to get words written to express what the game of baseball has meant to me over the past 30 years I find myself feeling unbelievably lucky and blessed. I always knew and had accepted the fact that one day, some day, the playing side of my career would end and because of that I knew I owed it to myself, my teammates and everyone who had ever supported me, to give every day, every game everything I had in the tank. As I now close the chapter on playing the game of baseball I feel very proud that I can look at myself in the mirror and without question say I left everything on the field. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the support of my family, friends, teammates, coaches, teachers, fans and even people who I may not know that have wished me well along the way. The friendships I have made throughout this baseball journey are what have made it so fulfilling. Thank you to the @Yankees, @pittsburghpirates, @indians and MOST of all @sfgiants for giving me the opportunity to represent your teams and cities! As the next chapter starts, I’m unbelievably excited to announce that I will be joining @nbcsauthentic as an analyst for Giants Pre and PostGame Live!
