HECATE ENTHRONED announce that GARETH HARDY (Drums) is set to leave the band.
Gareth has been a vital part of the band since 2011 - his first gig was when we threw him into the deep-end in front of 5000 rabid fans at Brutal Assault!
“It’s been a great spell for me in Hecate Enthroned but it’s now time to move on to other things as I’m retiring from the extreme metal scene” said Gareth.
Gareth had been integral to many more successful tours and shows such as Blastfest, Hellfast Attack, Metaldays, numerous Hammerfest appearances and a good run of shows across Europe, including some of the band’s favorites in Holland, Belgium and their most recent Iberian outing.
“Everyone is still friends and I wish Hecate Enthroned well for the future. I’m very grateful to all the fans and those that I’ve met along the way – the same goes for the bands we’ve played with too”.
Gareth was also instrumental in the recording and writing of the band’s most recent albums, “Virulent Rapture” (2013) and their most recent crowning glory “Embrace of the Godless Aeon” (2019), both of which have been very highly regarded by both critics and fans.
All the guys in Hecate Enthroned wish Gareth the very best for his future and want to thank him for all the blood, sweat and energy he’s committed to the band over the years. We shall remain in close contact and we’re looking forward to sharing a beer or two in the near future.
