It is with disappointment that we announce Butch Vig will be unable to join Garbage on the upcoming European run. He has torn his rotator cuff and it requires both surgery and a period of recuperation that will not allow Butch to participate in these dates. Butch will be ably replaced by Matt Walker who has performed a similar function for the Smashing Pumpkins, Morrissey and many others.

The good news is this surgery is a very common one and many professional athletes have had it to brilliant results and Butch will be back on his drum riser playing again in a few months.

We wish him the best of luck with the surgery and we so appreciate your patience with these touring adjustments.
