i was in the middle of launching Good Dye Young at retail just days after the song was demoed. it started with me and T messing around with a binaural mic - look up the Neumann.Berlin head mic, it’s wild - and ended up being a whole journey of emotions for me. first time i’ve written bass & guitar parts on a single too (ayyy). once we got it to a good place, we asked Joey to come play and also write ...music for verse 2 and the bridge. his verse exorcised a few of my demons and i’m so grateful to have em out of me. i didn’t even know i was making an album at the time. we were just having a good time and i was getting a (much needed) free therapy session. this is the longest caption in the world but i’m really proud of how this song brought the best out of each of us, in new ways. it’s so important to create, discover, and express... forever. can’t wait to share more. hopefully in less than 9173628191769420 characters.
