There are only a few more hours left to the year.
Today I'd like to share with you a piece of our history and our determination in Kawashima's behalf.
We really would like to apologize for all the concerns that our fans must be feeling due to Michi brain tumor.
Michi has had a history of brain tumors for 15 years now and this will be his third surgery....
He's already had to remove cancerous growth in the right half of his brain twice, an area very delicate for musicians.
Each time, he's spent time on his rehabilitation and then a long period on rehearsals and has recovered.
There have been instances where the completion of an album has been delayed greatly.
Each time he's recovered from the surgery, both Michi and myself have grown as people and also have survived as a band.
Up to this, point we haven't had to cancel any tours or concerts that have already been set so we have not had to make any official statements about his past sicknesses. We also did not want to be gathering pity, so the facts above have not really been public knowledge.
On December 28th, when a tumor was found for the third time, it was quite a shock.
I was really scared, my legs were quivering.
"Why is it always Michi that has to go through this over and over? "Why does this band have to go through all these hardships?"
But, by the next day we had sorted through our feelings and had determined to start again next year.
You see, both Kawasaki and I are strong.
We have to properly deliver our first album in three years.
Because, we produced a really good album.
In otherwords, what we want to say is, we're going to continue to work hard (Ganbaru).
After all, that's what we've been doing up to now.
I'm writing this in the dressing room of Odaiba's DIVERSITY right now.
We're about to hit the stage.
To everyone out there! Yoi otoshi wo (we wish you the best for next year)!
We'll be back.
